Orbital, commonly known as the Green Album (despite the fact that the cover is yellow), or Orbital 1, is the debut studio album by English electronic music duo Orbital, released on 30 September by FFRR singderxigeboufunk.reclmutatregoldsyrehamanfudiddmo.col self-titled their first two albums so the "Green Album" is an unofficial name to distinguish it from the second album. it is called the Green Album due to a color misprint Genre: Techno.

Feb 07, · referencing Orbital, 2xLP, Album, RP, , An excellent repressing of Orbital's first album. There is some soft surface noise in the lead-in of each record, but are not noticeable once the tracks start/5(K).

May 23, · A revolutionary album at the time, but I must admit that now it sounds very dated, uncreative, and at times, boring. I think that Orbital's Brown Album has aged much more effectively, as interesting now as it was back then, and although the original Orbital, the funky techno Orbital, is more accurately displayed on this release/5().

Aug 31, · Surprisingly this is also quite an experimental and simple album as Orbital hadn't yet settled on a formula. Therefore you get the loopy weirdness of 'Moebius' (complete with Star Trek vocal sample - I think, don't quote me) next to the lovely 'Oolaa'. A most satisfying album even especially compared to some of the overproduced dance music of 4/5().

Dec 14, · This release is actually a compilation and not Orbital's "real" first album. Unfortunately, the mix of Midnight is an edit of the 12" version, but it is better than the "live" mix that appears on the non-US versions of this album/5().
